This is an exclusive and free listing service for people to sell second-hand goods, which may be superfluous around their home. You can list products across 13 categories like Art, Books, CDs, Carpets/Rugs, Electronics, Furniture, Lamps/Light fixtures, Showpieces etc.
This is a win-win game. The seller sells off things that are not being used or not wanted and makes money, while the buyer gets things at a discounted price. In fact, one person has put up the entire contents of his store up on my site because he's shutting his shop. So, he's selling all movie and music CDs at a lumpsum price of Rs 1,50,000!
I've not made this into an e-com website because it keeps all decisions in the hands of the buyer and seller and also eliminates the middleman. This will empower people and also minimise fraud as well as quality-of-service issues..therefore keeping the cost factor low for me. Another USP is that my site is 'locality' specific. So, people living in an area can actually scout for deals in their neighbourhood on weekends.
I've also kept the design sleek, stylish and simple so as to make it easy for anyone - from a grandpa to a grandchild to use.
There are a lot of copycat sites out there but I was the first one to enter this niche segment because I first-hand experienced the difficulty of selling well maintained seconds, when my home was getting renovated and that gave birth to an idea which is today this website.
